Byron Beach House
Byron Bay
Byron Did the Hard Part. We Just Listened.
Some views do half the design work for you. This one did at least two thirds.
The Byron Bay house is a study in relaxed refinement — earthy tones and soft muted pastels woven through with greens and blues that don't just reference the bay, they borrow it. Bring it inside. Make it part of the furniture. The living areas needed more flow and better zones, so we laid a chequerboard floor throughout and let it quietly sort everything out. It's the kind of detail that's practical on paper and completely charming in person — a sophisticated base with just enough personality to let you know this house doesn't take itself too seriously.
Custom pieces fill every corner with soul. Natural materials do what natural materials do best — age beautifully, feel honest, and make synthetic things look exhausting by comparison. The indoor and outdoor spaces blur at every opportunity, dissolving into each other the way a good weekend should.
And the sunsets? Front row, every night, from almost every room.
