St Kilda West

"Let's have fun."

We didn't need to hear anything else.

This Federation beauty had lived many lives since the 1890s — each renovation leaving its mark before this one finally gave it the transformation it had been quietly waiting for. We replanned the original heritage house to include a generous new sitting room, a master suite with a robe worth lingering in, and a home office that actually earns its square footage. Out the back, a contemporary extension stretches toward the park with a relaxed city beach-house energy that makes Tuesday feel suspiciously like Saturday.

The clients wanted a home people gravitate to — warm, welcoming, loud with personality and self-expression. So that's exactly what we built. Custom furniture crafted locally, lighting sourced from artisans here and abroad, and not a single corner that doesn't have something interesting to say.

It's sophisticated enough to take seriously and fun enough that nobody does.

Just like the best homes always are.
